we cannot expect to understand at first glance it takes persistence
what i can’t enjoy today can certainly wait until tomorrow
before we can know we must take the time to learn and, often, unlearn
in the letting go of what we no longer need we make space to breathe
like a tree reaching for the sky; i remember to relax and breathe
if it was easy each of us would be doing the exact same thing
my eyes understand but my mind, in disbelief thinks we’re still asleep
before the sunrise hours before, a strange light cast blue on my wall…
modern horizons are only as far away as we have built them
i may not know you but i do know that the moon looks on you as well
