the biggest reason we decorate is to tell others who we are
taking the long view is sometimes the only way to make sense today
a festive blur and a toast to memories and this year can be done
peel back the layers because it is what’s inside that really does count
a lamp lights a spot but, bounce the light off a wall and you’ll light a room
when we feel the heat it’s a negative; but we don’t live on the streets
there are those mornings in amongst the holidays where we need quiet
the image we’re shown is meant to tell a story but seldom the truth
we tend to forget just how fortunate we are to have a safe place
