we seem to forget that just below the surface we are who we were
there are traditions that have become memories that we re-enact
a shadow is cast whenever a barrier is the solution
it is surprising that we don’t wake up each day to more surprises
if we don’t worry who our actions will affect life is quite easy
the only constant is that we never know where or when change will come
what we see is not always the same thing that we think we’re looking at
denial does work but, eventually we have to face the truth
some of us pretend that effects of an action can’t be predicted
we all have those days when the best solution is a long, cozy nap
