a warning posted now ignored, is a lesson in how we teach fear
the frozen window tells the truth, yet some of us will lick the lamppost
dark clouds move quickly but because we’re warned, the storm isn’t a surprise
we should have been warned but someone else came along and covered it up
there are some mornings when the view from the window serves as a warning
to heed the warning we must first pay attention to what’s around us
many warning signs go unnoticed because they are not where we look
like a siren’s song winter’s beauty entices with hidden dangers
if we see the signs we know trouble can happen and won’t be surprised
just because we’re warned that doesn’t mean we won’t make a bad decision
