subtleties abound . bringing texture into life . in grey areas
opposing forces create their final textures as the daylight fades
a weathered back door has better stories to tell than the polished front
on a flat surface everything sits calmly and nothing happens
to smooth the rough spots is our goal; in doing so we remove nature
to notice texture we must first have the knowledge to recognize light
we’re taught to desire order; but it’s the chaos that gives life texture
we reach for the light and in doing so, miss the texture in the dark
