if you want power stir up people’s fears and then promise them safety
there’s always a line drawn to divide light from dark and it’s imagined
in the rush to get where we think we want to be we miss where we are
knowing what you want does not mean you can get it it may take patience
it’s just a small thing that we may not even see but we do notice
we need to question: Who is selling us despair and what’s their motive?
what was once a place of comfort can easily become much less so
he sits, silently not understanding his fate; our frozen proxy
the path that’s most worn is the one that’s most traveled without giving thought
the best works of art can inspire hopes and dreams but so can the worst
