around the corner . history waits, boarded up . to be discovered
a tough outer shell . creates overconfidence . of abilities
with each forward step . memories become bridges . into the future
memories attach . to each other randomly . as they are recalled
simple memories . altered by the tricks of time . create surprises
the longest distance . is often expectation . not destination
