it’s better “out there” so we continue our search ignoring “in here”
a small rebellion it’s the break in formation that we notice first
in a hectic day a strangers hand can provide a moment of peace
a long look backward every once in a while can push life forward
a calm falls over as the day eases away today is now past
access has been denied we can fret over the loss or find a new source
some seek big changes others sit still, quietly and observe real change
when the light blinks red turn the key to flip the switch no, you can’t ask why
obvious or not we choose to ignore the signs at our own peril
uncomplicated does not mean the same as dull it’s simply simple
