we don’t need to speak to understand each other words can write fiction
if we chased our dreams and got lost, we could be stuck in a stranger’s dream
where there’s clarity there is honesty; the truth can’t live in a fog
nothing is over ever; so we can never pretend otherwise
though much is the same i feel that my energy burns cleaner today
a candle flickers for a short while; another will soon need lighting
we assess the threat if credible, we prepare and hope for the best
we long for normal but cannot agree on what normal used to be
the fogged up window speaks clearly of my feelings about tomorrow
when the clocks fall back we are reminded that time is all relative
