i didn’t see it is not the same statement as it didn’t happen
if we’re taught to fear even the most normal things are seen as a threat
to strike ones own path is often times not the best advised course to take
the songs that we sing and the stories that we tell don’t always make sense
the battle ended some left it behind; others have carried it home
where there was a door there used to be a passage now taken away
we are bombarded with content but seem to be lacking contentment
hidden in shadows is what we fear; or maybe there’s nothing at all
to take a moment and enjoy something well made is rebellion
a strong idea doesn’t need decoration it stands on its own
