a peaceful surface . is easily disrupted . by tiny ripples
alone in the woods . the cool shade repeats the lies . of the sun’s intent
put into context . ideas begin to lose . what made them special
on a pedestal . some things sit, separated . to be idolized
tomorrow will come . as today is slipping by . and the coffee cools
with each decision . a path to walk is chosen . never to return
from out of nowhere . unrelated memories . reach for the surface
