often, what we know won’t adequately prepare us for what we find
hot bitter and black and the darker the better let the day begin
within each morning is the opportunity to create anew
by just observing we can form opinions, but not understanding
there are those mornings when you don’t want to know what the world has in store
it shouldn’t be a luxury to have the time to get a refill
in constant motion we feel we’re making progress even standing still
we should recognize the fire in the sunrise and heed its warning
things we remember in the haze of nostalgia rarely deserve it
when the light is right unique patterns will emerge but they’re not random
