autumn colors burn hottest in the week before we set our clocks back
on a graveyard road that does not connect, the sign shows passive respect
what we think matters in life, is where we focus; the things we cling to
we are taught to climb the barriers, not to look at what lies beyond
we cannot go backbut it’s good to remember our bad decisions
when we lend a hand we really give it away and grow another
on an easy path . the mind is free to wander; . obstacles are few
to live in today is to understand the path is just the journey
more of our leaders . need to first be a teacher . not just a preacher
in the face of change true courage is to stand; meet it honestly
