sometime the advice is specific; and sometimes it applies always
i look to the past from a far away vantage and don’t remember
we probably know but choose to ignore the fact that we can’t get there
given enough time nature will always reveal the absolute truth
a simple chord change unexpected, can ignite a revolution
our surfaces shine while the supporting structures are left to decay
every action causes a ripple, even if we’re unaware
the light in the night reassures but will also increase the shadows
now that i’ve seen it walking past this will make me hungry for waffles
a break to recharge by pressing pause on life, but how long to hold it
