we know it’s coming we’ve been warned; but some of us refuse to believe
nobody can say what normal will be when we return to normal
after all of this normal will be different when we reopen
it’s almost as if yesterday’s weather scolded for not staying home
it is quite common to say we just need some space while trying to heal
unless we focus on the window screen, we don’t notice it is there
communication is easier than ever even when alone
when there is a sign that doesn’t mean what it says we should ignore it
it doesn’t matter what it’s like outside these days it seems like a show
by how they respond we can tell who believes; we’re in this together
