look at a mountain difficult to climb, then see it’s only a tree
off in the distance we imagine better things that exist right here
something abnormal can make us stop and question what we call normal
with only two seats taken, the table has room for so many more
it isn’t silent – machines work in the distance – but it feels silent
nature doesn’t need snow to gather on pine boughs yet it still happens
our need for answers can trick us into seeing something that’s not there
