sometimes the message gets lost; or only matters when it’s obvious
there is a challenge in separating what’s said from who’s saying it
sometimes the message is understood; even if it’s written poorly
perhaps a message locked to a fence long ago was never received
the farther we are away from the source, the more the shadow is blurred
often the message we receive is different than the one that’s sent
sometimes the meaning doesn’t matter: the message comes through loud and clear
we can repeat the message over and over yet still not get through
if what’s being said is not clear, the message might not be meant for me
if you care about your message, you should care how it is presented
