when we’re in the dark why do we need to be told to turn on the light?
we know what we see but too often we forget just why we see it
we can always choose: stand in hatred and darkness or where there is light
a light can welcome or warn against loitering which, can be unclear
it’s a constant fight as we pretend to deny our fear of the dark
just like the flower in order to receive light one must be open
we need light to see but the light doesn’t let us see what it’s hiding
a tiny flicker won’t cast much light, but can be seen a great distance
the blue sky dances across the black lake surface catch me if you can
standing as a guide the lamp projects calm and makes the dark less heavy
