when a fog settles . focus becomes limited . the rest is ignored
as conditions change . what once had seemed important . falls out of focus
returning later . the focus is different . everything’s changed
adjusting focus . we can hear the trees respond . to the falling rain
it is important . to understand and control . what we focus on
finding a balance . requires selective focus . and lots of edits
time and space contract . to what is right here, right now . when the fog rolls in
something unnoticed . once it has revealed itself . cannot be unseen
the daylight moon hangs . framed by the changing fall leaves . like an afterthought
choosing a small part . of the much larger picture . removes all context
