as the world opens for business, we cannot know what life will feel like
off in the distance things seem a little brighter and that’s where hope lives
we can’t understand how to correctly measure the space between us
seen from my window the world looks the same, but feels very different
the shortest distance is a man-made idea; nature doesn’t care
it’s a luxury in our busyness to stare off in the distance
the distance traveled in one’s imagination cannot be measured
it’s easy to think that problems are simple when seen from the distance
when we ask, what if… we give ourselves permission to see the future
our future depends on being able to see off in the distance
