the darkest winter days can always be made bright when we make sunshine
modern horizons are only as far away as we have built them
the orange is peeled but not yet eaten, we hope to not be let down
maybe there are folks who don’t believe in winter until it gets here
it takes energy to fully digest something we shouldn’t rush it
a match that has burned has given all it can give and can’t be relit
one small battery can provide enough power to light a dark night
a candle flickers for a short while; another will soon need lighting
where it’s possible it is also probable no matter the odds
when we’re done with it we’ll just build a big rocket and move someplace else
