maybe the monkey represents human struggle but probably not
even in darkness there are signs of hope, if we are open to them
to see potential where others do not is where optimism grows
viewed as half-empty or half-full, either way it’s only half a glass
it’s not elegant but for what it needs to do it does perfectly
we live our stories based on all of the things that we might not notice
we wouldn’t expect a bicycle’s seat to work in place of its wheel
to sit back and watch without needing to engage must be relaxing
it is maddening that we frequently have to state the obvious
