we live our stories based on all of the things that we might not notice
we wouldn’t expect a bicycle’s seat to work in place of its wheel
to sit back and watch without needing to engage must be relaxing
it is maddening that we frequently have to state the obvious
we only notice the screw that holds the artwork if the artwork’s gone
we can get caught up in the reflection and not notice the real thing
take something common and split it into its parts and see what happens
to build something new we must go through the pain of losing something old
the memories fade but we still hold on to them and create new ones
it’s okay to watch as someone else rises up and meets the challenge
