to make a clean cut it takes a knife well sharpened and handled with care
a city exhales knowing it isn’t over but today we breathe
some will leave their mark for everyone to see the rest, in private
we can’t define it but we each know what it means to find some comfort
although not required using a specialized tool gives better results
