while we are focused on one thing, everything else is happening
it’s easy to hide and yell at the world, courage requires we engage
we can find comfort knowing others have as well in a well-worn place
we may not agree on a favorite hot sauce and that is okay
some who came before bridged over the obstacles we get to avoid
we’re easily fooled into believing our eyes see everything
behind daily noise plays the music of our life if we will listen
there’s always a place even if we disagree where we can gather
much of what we see is only meant to suggest the actual thing
those who don’t agree do not care if there’s a sign zip tied to a fence
