when all benches face the same direction, that’s where they want us to look
in the midst of change greater caution is required; threats hide in plain sight
in shedding layers we show we’re ready for change but some jump too soon
too often in life . there are signs of what’s to come . that go unheeded
a cat can tell time . but when the clock springs forward . he doesn’t sync up
the mind will ignore what it thinks of as boring even mismatched lights
the best i can do . is to show you what i see . maybe you’ll agree
when tomorrow comes . yesterday’s ideas . may no longer work
