things we understand are often mysterious, brand new, to others
it’s odd when something meant to illuminate, casts a shadow instead
a light can welcome or warn against loitering which, can be unclear
it’s for our safety that’s what we claim, but really it’s decoration
taken by itself anything we see can be whatever we want
we’re not meant to go quietly into the night so let’s stop trying
how much of my life is contained inside boxes i don’t even see?
without the context we can only imagine based on biases
we only feel small when we actively ignore our need for wonder
if the alarm sounds before the emergency we can’t ignore it
