beauty will find us but we will not notice if we are not awake
we seem to forget that just below the surface we are who we were
denial does work but, eventually we have to face the truth
there is a quiet that only accompanies the fresh fallen snow
winter wind returns icing over the windows now closed until spring
insignificance is the feeling that precedes a sense of wonder
it isn’t often that the path we need to take is made obvious
when there’s no clear edge extra care is required when moving forward
some of the biggest changes we face will arrive silent in the night
it doesn’t take much space; just enough to cling to so we can gather
