a lifetime of posts torn down or posted over and long forgotten
you can see the line where differences collide best heed its warning
some want to break in others wish they could break out most just don’t notice
a stray thought passes wonder what inspired it… i may never know
i didn’t have to but i felt the need to stop and not start again
when we first notice the damaged among us, we don’t really see them
we seem to forget; in light of new evidence we can change our minds
on certain mornings nature decides we need to relearn how to walk
the first thing we see is often the only thing as we speed through life
sidewalk closed ahead says the sign in the driveway we don’t question it
