though handy to know all to often we let time have all the control
to save history it oftentimes will require that we make changes
around the next curve there might be danger, we’ll see because time won’t stop
all we really want is a place where we can go and we’ll feel welcome
we can be haunted by things left undone, things lost but we keep going
barriers are real because we believe they are even if they’re not
there will come a day when everything we have will be memories
a day to ponder to remember what has been think what is to come
it’s a luxury in our busyness to stare off in the distance
as the water dries the surface where it once sat is forever changed
