the sidewalk is closed which is just as well, so is everything else
when idled, we see maybe we do not need this many shopping carts
rain streaks the window saying, you would probably stay home anyway
off in the distance things seem a little brighter and that’s where hope lives
symbolic gestures manipulate real feelings to achieve an end
it doesn’t take much more than a simple sentence to boost our spirits
if we don’t adjust our focus, we will end up with blurry pictures
sometimes the journal and the photo library stare back vacantly
it is the basics that we all seem to turn to when we seek comfort
