I sat down to do some free associating the other day but with some restrictions
First I decided that I should use the English language

Next I decided to not make up words
Next I decided to type on my computer so that meant I could only write left to right in one line at a time
Next I decided that I should aim for 750 words
Next I decided that I should only do this exercise for 1/2 hour since I needed to be someplace in an hour and it would take 20 minutes to get there
Next I decided to use Helvetica
Then I got started
That’s when I realized my association exercise was anything but free
